Everyone was very nice. Great place to visit. Enjoyed the firepit, warm blankets, endless firewood, and complimentary smores. It rained a bit during our trip so our outdoor days were limited but still enjoyed. There two fireplaces inside the common area, games available including chess, and other areas to just hang out. Note during winter hours many things in the area shut down early or have reduced hours/days of service. This includes restaurants. Overall services were great. Would recommend.

We spent our mom’s birthday weekend in January at the Inns of Aurora, and it was absolutely beautiful!! We stayed in a suite and were so impressed by how spacious and stunning the room was. When we checked in, we enjoyed a wine tasting by the fireplace, which was incredibly cozy and such a perfect welcome!! We had a great dinner at Fargo across the street… so delicious! We did the one hour guided nature hike with groundskeeper Paul, and it was the best way to start the morning—he was so kind, knowledgeable, and made the walk really special. We spent the day at the spa and each of us had an amazing massage service. The sanctuary was an absolute dream and we all left feeling so relaxed and amazing! It was truly a 10/10 experience, and I’m so grateful for the quality time we shared celebrating our mom!! Everything was perfect, and we can’t wait for the next occasion to come back. I would love to try it in the summer because there are so many things to do seasonally like enjoying the lake, eating outside and bike riding. Thank you for a great stay! See you again! !⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have definitely found heaven on earth! The grounds are beautiful and there is so much history here but the staff is what makes this place so magical. My husband and I have felt so loved and cared for this week! If you ever want to feel like you are in a hallmark town this is the place for you. We enjoyed talking to Mike at the front desk while he was able to help us figure out places to go and things to do. Judy was such a delight and made the chocolate and coffee tasting a wonderful and lasting memory! Mary Anne was a joy to talk to and visit with during the wine hour. It felt like we have been friends for years! Aurora cooks was a must to go do and y’all, Lou had to have fallen down straight from heaven. Her cooking was amazing and she was easily able to cater to my milk allergy. She was SO fun to be around and was a HOOT! (Funny) she could have made a week old French fry tase good. The lemon drop that I last minute requested was definitely the best one I ever had. To sum it all up this place is gorgeous but it’s the stall here that makes it so enjoyable and fun!

We have loved this hotel since 2019. However, there have been changes since our last visit. The check in experience is different and supposed to be more streamlined, but we actually found that it took longer and the check in in person was too chatty while his laptop was loading. Telling us to go to a barbecue place somewhere that was not even relevant to our stay there because it was not close by. Check in also took a lot longer than it should have. Then there is the fact that instead of bringing a basket of breads and a pot of fresh press coffee to your room, there is a large pot of coffee at the end of the hall that is luke warm and some breakfast bars on a plate. The door to our room was very difficult to open and every time we had to use it it took many tries to get it open. Staff did help us one time, but no one offered to correct the problem, which was very frustrating! The bed was creaky and made noise every time you moved. We were in room 2. It would have a nice lake view if it wasn’t blocked by the white wedding tents outside. There is no one at the desk in the lobby any more to greet you and the place just seems colder. The restaurant is still great, and we still love the food. These changes may seem minor, but when you are paying top dollar, they matter. It is not a 5 star hotel.

We love this hotel! We’ve been coming every year after Thanksgiving for going on 4 years now. Every year we try a new house. Each house is so charming and has a beautiful style of its own. Rooms are all spacious yet cozy. The first couple of years we went they had their Christmas decorations up which were extra beautiful, however the last years we went they weren’t yet up. We also really loved that the hotel had a wine shuttle on Saturdays - they take you to all the top wineries on the lake in a cute shuttle bus which was nice and convenient. Lastly, the spa is a must! I always go about 2 hours early, eat a light lunch in the cafe (included with treatment) and then head out to the outdoor heated pools all before my massage - it’s just amazing. Especially during sunset.

Hands down this place is beautiful and the people here are extremely welcoming and helpful for the most part. I would stay here again time and time again. I was a little worried when I booked a treatment for my mom for her birthday in January. The spa itself is beautiful. However the masseuse wasn’t great. She spoke negatively about other clients saying “they were disgusting” to my mother. She was completely inappropriate the entire time. I’m not one to write bad reviews but no professional should be speaking negatively about their clients to other clients. If this place wants to stay in business they should check on their employees.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Inns at Aura. From the moment we arrived, the experience was warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully run. Michael at check-in set the tone right away — friendly, professional, and genuinely hospitable. The service continued to impress throughout our stay, especially at 1833 Restaurant where Deb took exceptional care of us during two incredible meals. The food itself was superb. As a professional chef who has worked in Manhattan for over 20 years, I can say the cooking was truly impressive — thoughtful, balanced, and beautifully executed. Credit to the chef and the entire kitchen team. Toby, the F&B Director, also stopped by our table to chat, which was a lovely touch and speaks to the care they put into the guest experience. We also spent a day at the spa and had one of the most relaxing afternoons we’ve had in a long time. It was the perfect place to slow down and recharge. The room was beautiful and comfortable, and every detail of the stay felt considered. We left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to coming back. A truly special place with an outstanding team behind it.

My husband and I took a long weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary here. We were so impressed by the welcoming, friendly staff and the quality of the inn and spa. Our anniversary falls in the middle to late autumn, so we quickly found out there’s not too much to do in Aurora or with the inn, especially on the weekend. I can see there being much more activities in the summer, early fall or even closer to the holidays. Most of the activities are on the weekdays. It was all good because we were very comfortable relaxing in the premier suite of the main inn, and being within just steps of the places to dine. The spa experience is luxurious and truly relaxing. The restaurant, 1833, has very friendly service and fresh foods. The breakfast could be better but the dinner was so yummy. We were surprised to find a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room for our anniversary, such a memorable touch. The Fargo pub is absolutely delicious and a nice place to have a meal and a drink. We were able to watch the Bills game in good company (plenty of other Bills fans)! We were also so happy to be within such an easy ride to other towns of the finger lakes where we explored parks, wineries and shops.
